New Move Network Presents:

Event: Time Crystals: Moves, Grooves and Generative Code

Book Online

Join in an evening of live piano and percussion grooves.

In an intimate audience setting listen to visualisation and see sounds as dance and generative code with Clocked Out and Bonemap.

As part of CoCA's New Move Network residencies, Clocked Out's Erik Griswold and Vanessa Tomlinson  present their latest work 'Time Crystals' in collaboration with the dulcet tones of projected light and dance from Bonemap's Russell Milledge and Rebecca Youdell.

Time Crystals is based on the Nobel-winning physicist Frank Wilczek's 2012 article proposing the existence of Time Crystals, perpetually moving structures that repeat periodically in the fourth dimension.

Clocked Out creates new music with a sense of play and adventure using prepared piano, percussion, found objects and toys to craft their trademark “warped grooves” and evocative soundscapes. Bonemap will traverse continuous movement and spontaneously broken symmetry, by processing live dance and Clocked Out's analogue music through a projected light system to radiate a sense of synaesthesia.

"This is tonal, listener-friendly and almost foot-tapping music. It smiles, cajoles and teases,.."
